Grant Application Process for Charitable Organizations
PRESCOTT, AZ (June 28, 2018) – In April, Mayor Greg Mengarelli and the Prescott City Council began the “Change for the Better” initiative to alleviate homelessness and panhandling in the city. A key part of this initiative is to collect money through the donation meters downtown as well as from boxes in various businesses, churches, and other locations around the city.
Any charitable organization that helps the homeless and/or panhandlers is encouraged to apply for grant dollars from this initiative. Grant money will be distributed evenly among all the successful applicants, and will occur every 2-3 months as funds are collected. Organizations will only be required to apply once for the ongoing grant distributions. Results of the grant awards will be posted on the city’s website.
