The City of Prescott and their contractor, AZ Western Contracting, are currently working on a sidewalk repairs project. Improvements include the removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks, curb ramps, and curb and gutter as needed at various locations throughout the Prescott community. Additional work includes surface improvements and landscape restoration as needed.
Once complete, this project will increase pedestrian safety and extend the life of the sidewalks into the foreseeable future. The project is scheduled for completion in summer 2019.
NORTH WASHINGTON AVENUE AND NORTH PLEASANT STREET SIDEWALK REPAIRS COMPLETE
The removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk, and curb and gutter is now complete along North Washington Avenue, from East Sheldon Street to East Willis Street, and along North Pleasant Street, from East Sheldon Street to East Moeller Street. In addition, crews have finished installing a new crosswalk at the intersection of North Pleasant Street and East Moeller Street. Please remain alert as crews perform miscellaneous construction and clean-up activities throughout the week.
MISCELLANEOUS SIDEWALK REPAIRS TO CONTINUE
Crews will continue removing and replacing concrete sidewalk, and curb and gutter as needed along sections of East Goodwin Street, Magnolia Lane, Cedarwood Lane, and Old Black Canyon Highway.

Temporary sidewalk closures will be required while this work is underway, however, personnel will accommodate access for local businesses and residents. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times, however, motorists may encounter lane restrictions, reduced speeds, and flagging operations throughout the work zone.
