The City of Prescott will begin displaying a yellow ribbon on a pillar near the entrance to City Hall, at Cortez Street. The ribbon is intended to recognize and honor City employees who are currently serving active duty in the military.
Mayor Greg Mengarelli announced this at the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, February 27.
“It’s important for us to keep these individuals in our thoughts and prayers as they serve their country,” said Mayor Greg Mengarelli. “The yellow ribbon will remain in place as long as we have City employees serving active duty in the military.”
Currently, three City employees are serving active duty, and one is expected to deploy soon.
