Between now and December 31st of this year, the Phippen Museum is inviting all Arizona teachers to come and enjoy the museum and its outstanding collections of western art and history free of charge on Sundays from 1 to 4PM. Just show proof of school employment and the Phippen museum and its resources will be available during normal operating hours on Sundays throughout the end of 2018; with no restrictions on the number of visits allowed.

So take advantage of this special offer while the museum says “thank you” to Arizona educators with free museum admission. And while you’re there, be sure to find out more about their youth art workshops, Clay Out West Youth Sculpture Contest in October, museum outreach programs offered to local classrooms and free bus transportation to the museum for pre-arranged student tours. For more information, please call the museum’s Education Coordinator, Neal McEwen at (928)778-1385.

The Phippen Museum is located only a few minutes north of downtown Prescott, Arizona, at 4701 Highway 89 North. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10M to 4PM and Sundays from 1 to 4PM. In addition to permanent exhibits including the Arizona Rancher & Cowboy Hall of Fame, the Solon Borglum Collection Room and the Western Heritage Gallery, their current exhibitions include Hold Your Horses!, on display in the Marley Gallery from August 4th to September 23rd, and New Acquisitions to the Phippen, in the James Gallery through August 12th. The museum also offers ongoing adult and youth art workshops, unique art and heritage programming and other special events throughout the year. To find out more, call (928)778-1385, or visit their website at: www.phippenartmuseum.org.
