Historic downtown Prescott boasts a friendly, come-stay-awhile vibe with eclectic shops, unique eateries, walking-friendly historic sites and lush green grass under the shady courthouse trees. As you stroll past any of the more than 800 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, you’ll find many places to grab a fast meal or relax during a fine dining experience. In “Everybody’s Hometown,” there are more than 200 places to eat in town and a majority are locally owned and managed. You can also sample locally brewed, award-winning beverages at micro-breweries or wine-tasting shops. Just a few blocks down from the Courthouse Plaza on Cortez Street, you will find “Antique Row.” You’ll discover jewelry, paintings and sculptures, collectibles and gifts, Western clothing and Southwestern furniture. Historic Whiskey Row is known for its specialty clothing and candy shops, and of course, its famous saloons.
