Spring in Prescott Valley has always carried a special energy. As the days grow warmer and families gather outdoors again, we’re reminded that the true strength of our community lies in the feeling of home and the warmth of the hearth; the places and people that ground us.
For the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce, April and May are a time to lean into that spirit and celebrate the businesses, neighbors and traditions that make our town not just a place to work, but a place to belong.
Our local businesses are the heart of this community. They sponsor the Little League teams, donate to school fundraisers, hire our neighbors and create the character that defines Prescott Valley. Supporting them isn’t just an economic choice, it’s a way we take care of one another. That’s why this season, we are focused on strengthening opportunity, connection and growth right here at home.
One of the most exciting milestones this spring is the launch of our bilingual Business Academy, in partnership with the Hispanic Business Association. This initiative reflects our belief that entrepreneurship should be accessible to everyone.
By offering programming in both English and Spanish, we’re opening doors for more business owners to gain the skills, resources and confidence they need to thrive.
When we empower diverse voices and perspectives, our entire business ecosystem grows stronger. This academy isn’t just a class; it’s a pathway to leadership, ownership and generational success for many families in our region.
As we move into May, our sense of home shines brightest during Prescott Valley Days, running May 7th through 10th.
This beloved tradition brings together neighbors, nonprofits and businesses to celebrate everything that makes our town special. From parades and entertainment to local vendors and carnival rides, Prescott Valley Days reminds us that community pride is built together. It’s also a powerful opportunity to support local entrepreneurs and showcase the creativity and resilience of our small business community.
This year carries added significance as communities across the country begin celebrating America 250, marking 250 years of the American story. As we reflect on that history, we’re reminded that the promise of America has always started in towns like ours, places where hard work, service and innovation create opportunity for the next generation.
Here in Prescott Valley, we honor that legacy by continuing to invest in local businesses, strengthen partnerships and foster a culture where everyone has a chance to succeed.
House and hearth mean more than comfort; they represent stability, connection and shared purpose. This season, I encourage each of you to shop local, attend community events, mentor an entrepreneur and support the organizations that keep Prescott Valley thriving. Together, we’re not just growing businesses, we’re building a stronger, more vibrant place to call home.
