The new Maverik convenience store and fueling station that will open in January at 1341 N. Prescott County Club Blvd., Prescott Valley, is described as “one of the largest and most accommodating in Arizona,” said Michelle Monson, Maverik communications director.
The new store replaced a much smaller one, which was closed and sold so that a fast-food restaurant could be constructed, Monson said.
The new Maverik has 36 fueling stations. It also has an RV dump, picnic area and spacious parking on the 4-acre property.
Monson said the store itself features a full lineup of fresh made-to-order foods and fresh made pastries as well as the popular “Bean to Cup” coffee program with coffee blends from around the world.
The store’s interior showcases panoramic Arizona landscape images, topographic maps and adventure images on the store’s multiple televisions. Marketed as the beginning of “Adventure’s First Stop,” Maverik is offering loyalty offers during its opening.
Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Maverik is part of a part of a national chain. The original Maverik began in 1928 when a two-pump station opened in Afton, Wyoming. The chain has grown to more than 380 locations in 12 western states. The national office is in Salt Lake City.
