by Mark W. Drutz
In 1983, Jim Musgrove invited me out to lunch. We went to the Pine Cone Inn, which was a popular place to discuss business in those days. At that time, I had been practicing law in Prescott for two years and I was considering moving to Phoenix for a job. Jim changed my life that day when he offered me the opportunity to join his law practice.
Jim grew up in Prescott and knew almost everybody in town. He told me he wanted to create a law firm that would be financially successful and serve the community.
Giving back to the community was central to Jim’s thinking. Over his 50-year law career, he belonged to almost every community board in Prescott. Although I have served on numerous boards, it was never as many as Jim recommended.
In time, Thomas Kack and Sharon Flack joined our law firm. They shared Jim’s commitment to provide top-flight legal services to our clients. Although our firm has its share of institutional clients, Jim always said the firm also needed to represent “Mom and Pop” clients.
Because of the influence of Jim Musgrove, Musgrove Drutz Kack & Flack is, and will always be, a full-service law firm. We try to solve problems for people in all legal areas. We handle cases in courts throughout Arizona. While we always try to settle our cases, we will go to trial when necessary.
Our firm practices law as Jim Musgrove did: We put our clients first.
