Maureen Scott has been named City Clerk for the City of Prescott, Arizona. The Prescott City Council voted unanimously to accept her employment agreement at their meeting June 15. Ms. Scott will begin work in Prescott on July 19, 2017.
Ms. Scott is joining Prescott from the City of Goodyear, where she has served for 11 years in various roles, most recently as City Clerk since 2012. She has a Master of Public Administration degree from Troy State University. She earned her Secretary of State Election Certification in 2007, and the League of Cities Election Certification in 2008. She attends recertification training every two years.
Ms. Scott is a member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, and received her Certified Municipal Clerk designation in October 2009. She received her Master Municipal Clerk designation in August 2014. She has been active on several different committees with the Arizona Municipal Clerk’s Association.
“Maureen will be a great addition to our management staff,” said City Manager Michael Lamar. “We are very pleased to welcome her to the team.”
