Mayor, City of Prescott
Greg Mengarelli grew up in small rural communities in Kansas and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Park Resource Management from Kansas State University in 1989. He has worked as a Christian camp director for the past 30 years.
Greg served a four-year term on the Prescott Unified School District Board including as its president in 2017. In 2017, Greg was elected Mayor of the City of Prescott, and was re-elected in 2019.
Greg met his wife, Sheila, while attending Kansas State University and they were married in 1990 and moved to Prescott in 1995. Greg and Sheila have nine children, four of whom are adopted, and two grandchildren.
For fun, Greg likes mountain biking, hiking, boating, hunting and leading river trips down the Colorado River.
Currently, he is the Business Development Manager for Prescott Frontier Days® and the World’s Oldest Rodeo®.
