Patrick Grady, City Councilmember, City of Prescott
Patrick is deeply honored to have been appointed to Prescott City Council in May of 2025, serving through November, 2027. Since moving to Prescott in 2017 with his wife, Leslie, he has been actively engaged with local climate, sustainability and environmental issues.
His background and leadership in over 30 years of public service provides him with a unique perspective on local issues. Working for several cities in neighborhood revitalization, downtown development and economic development, the pinnacle of his career was as the Community and Economic Development Director for the City of Phoenix.
Patrick and Leslie, in partnership with their minister, founded Columbus Habitat for Humanity back in 1987. “This early, hands-on engagement was the start of our mutual commitment to social justice that still guides us today. It’s about putting our faith into action.”
Patrick and Leslie are so thankful for having found a community here in Prescott. “The scope and depth of volunteerism and citizen engagement on issues of concern has energized us to serve our community.”
In his City Council role, Patrick is concerned about and focused on water, growth, affordable housing, the natural environment and the community’s overall quality of life. He believes in collaboration, pragmatic solutions and a non-partisan approach to local governance.
“I enjoy the constant learning, the engagement with concerned citizens and working with this City Council. It continues to be both challenging and rewarding.”
