By the end of 2017 under the leadership of our new President and CEO Sheri Heiney, the Prescott Chamber of Commerce implemented several exciting additions to programming and membership events.
The year began with goal-planning, additional ribbon cuttings with increased attendance by elected officials, rebranding the morning and evening chamber mixers, an internship program and the addition of many new educational events. By summer, planning was underway for two additional annual signature events – Farm to Table in the fall and the Grand Marshal Gala, as part of the official Arizona Christmas City lineup. And if that wasn’t enough, the chamber forged a unique membership opportunity with the town of Bagdad, and we became its Chamber of Commerce. We anticipate programming and events in 2018 will align with this new and exciting partnership.
And we are just getting started! In fall 2017, the Prescott Chamber Board of Directors met for an all-day facilitated strategy session, which resulted in a newly updated vision and mission statement and core values, which will help guide us into the future. We are forever thankful to our members and members-to-be, sponsors, volunteers, ambassadors, board members and staff for their enthusiasm and teamwork. We are very optimistic for a successful year for all our business members, from Prescott through the Quad Cities area to Bagdad and beyond. We hope you can take advantage of all we have to offer your business and that you will call us with anything you might need in the future.
