June 2 – July 28
Sign up for the Summer Reading Program to keep track of the minutes kids read and watch them earn prizes every week at the library. Registration:

  • Call 928-777-1537
  • Stop by the Youth Desk

Open to kids of all ages! Parents can participate, too, and have their name entered in weekly gift- certificate drawings!

Summer Reading Kickoff
11 a.m. Saturday, June 2

Enjoy a performance by Birdhouse Puppet Theatre, and sign up for summer reading.

Art in June
10:15 a.m. – Noon, Mondays, June 4 – 25

Explore a different type of art every week. For ages 6-14. Registration required. Register online, at the Youth Desk, or call 928-777-1537.

Crafts and Activities
1-2:30 p.m. Tuesdays, June 5 – July 24

Get creative with crafts and activities suitable for all ages.

LEGO Build Time
10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursdays,  June 21 and July 12

Drop in and build with LEGOs.

Entertainment
10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursdays

June 7 – Magician Eddie Siller

June 14 – Arizona’s Singing Cowboy Gary Sprague and his horse, Dusty

June 28 – Juggler James Reid

July 5 – Sticks and Tones

July 19 – Taiko Drumming

Entertainment
1 p.m. Saturdays

June 23 – Balloon Cowboy

July 14 – Wildman Phil and his animals

Finale Party
1 p.m. Saturday, July 28

Summer Reading Events for Teens

  • 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 13
    Scavenger Hunt for TeensExplore downtown Prescott in a scavenger hunt designed just for teens! For teens, grades 6-12. Register online, at the Youth Desk, or call 928-777-1537.
  • 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 25
    Teen Battle of the Books CompetitionA summer of reading comes to a head in the ultimate teen battle of the books! Winning teams receive monetary gift cards for each member! For teens, grades 6-12. Register online, at the Youth Desk, or call 928-777-1537.

The 2018 Summer Reading Program is funded entirely through the generosity of the Friends of the Prescott Public Library.
