Public Works Update – Willow Lake Rd. and Prescott Lakes Parkway Intersection Improvements Project

The City of Prescott and their contractor, Asphalt Paving & Supply, Inc., are currently working on an intersection improvements project. The project consists of the installation of a new traffic signal system at the intersection of Willow Lake Road and Prescott Lakes Parkway. Improvements include the installation of handicap ramps, sidewalks, curbing, and traffic striping and signage. Additional work includes minor utility upgrades and pavement restoration in the intersection.

Once complete, this project will improve traffic flow in the intersection, and increase pedestrian access and safety. The project is scheduled to be finished in summer 2019.

INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS TO CONTINUE

Crews have finished installing new concrete islands, and curb and gutter. With this work complete, crews will be performing landscape operations and installing signage at the Willow Lake Road and Prescott Lakes Parkway intersection.

Please be aware of the following impacts:

Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Please be aware of narrow lanes, reduced speeds, rough roads, and flagging operations throughout the work zones. To ensure the safety of everyone, take precaution near construction personnel and equipment when travelling through the area. Crews will work to maintain traffic flow, but due to the nature of the work, motorists should expect delays and use an alternate route if possible.

WATER MAIN INSTALLATION TO CONTINUE

The installation of new water main will continue at the Willow Lake Road and Prescott Lakes Parkway intersection.
