“Well, the secret is out and everyone is moving to the Greater Prescott area,” shared Realtor Di Norkus of The Norkus Group, West USA Realty.

The reasons are plenty – mild climate, outdoor activities, history, culture and higher learning options – to name a few.

Diane Clarke, Associate Broker, Realty ONE Group Mountain Desert, agrees there isn’t just one reason to pick Greater Prescott as your new home. “We are chock full of events all year long, including arts and crafts fairs on the Courthouse Square, car shows, brew festivals, music festivals, the Whiskey Row Marathon, The World’s Oldest Rodeo® and Parade, the New Year’s Eve Boot Drop and, of course, we are Arizona’s Christmas City, with several weeks of Christmas celebrations in Prescott and Prescott Valley. There is something going on almost all the time!”

The popularity of Greater Prescott is growing and Realtors are seeing that reflected in the market.

“This has had a tremendous impact on our real estate market as we are in a seller’s market, and have been for over the past five years,” said Norkus. “Our current inventory of available homes for sale is the lowest it has been in over 30 years. We are seeing multiple-offer situations again, and out-of-state buyers wanting to purchase homes sight unseen.”
