PROJECT INFORMATION
The City of Prescott and their contractor, Asphalt Paving & Supply, Inc., are set to begin a road and utility upgrade project along State Route 89 on Monday, August 21. The project limits include State Route 89 between the State Route 89A/Pioneer Parkway interchange and Granite Dells. Improvements include the widening of State Route 89, water and sewer utility upgrades, removing and replacing the existing asphaltic concrete, and construction of a new roundabout near the Phippen Museum. The project also includes a new parking area for access to the City’s Constellation Trail System.
Once complete, this project will increase traffic flow by widening the existing two-lane roadway to four lanes, enhance road user safety, and upgrade utilities that serve the Prescott community. The project is scheduled for completion in spring 2018.
