The Highlands Center for Natural History has rescheduled the annual Shakespeare in the Pines performances for 6 p.m. Aug. 28 and 29, with a matinee performance on Aug. 30 at 3 p.m.
The picturesque, natural setting of Ponderosa pines is the site for The Merry Wives of Winslow,
Shakespeare’s tale of Falstaff in love…in the old west! The boisterous Sir John Falstaff comes to the small town of Winslow, bringing a taste for beef, beer and other men’s wives.
Shows will still take place in the Kiwanis Amphitheater, with a smaller audience than in the past. There will be other adaptations for a safer, more intimate experience. The meal from El Gato Azul will be a delicious boxed Supper and guests will dine on small tables scattered throughout the James Family Discovery Gardens, creating an intimate dining experience within the beauty of the Gardens.
Presented by the Highlands Center and Laark Productions in partnership with El Gato Azul. Presenting Sponsor Lamb Cadillac.
