The City of Prescott and their contractor, Fann Contracting, Inc., are set to begin a roadway reconstruction project along North Washington Avenue and Churchill Street. The project consists of the removal and replacement of existing asphalt along North Washington Avenue, from East Sheldon Street to Churchill Street, and along Churchill Street from North Washington Avenue to North Arizona Avenue. Additional work includes installing new water line, repairs to the existing sewer main, drainage improvements, and replacing concrete sidewalks, valley gutter, and driveway entrances, and curb and gutter as needed.
Once complete, this project will enhance the drainage capabilities in the improved areas, upgrade the utilities that serve the Prescott community, increase pedestrian safety, and provide a smoother ride for motorists well into the future. The project is scheduled for completion in winter 2018.
WATER MAIN INSTALLATION TO CONTINUE
Crews will continue removing and replacing the water main and services along North Washington Avenue, from East Sheldon Street to Churchill Street, and along Churchill Street, from North Washington Avenue to Arizona Avenue.

One lane of traffic will remain open at all times, however, motorists may encounter narrow lanes, reduced speeds, and flaggers in the work zone. Please follow the marked detour signage to get to your destination.
STORM DRAIN INSTALLATION MOVES FORWARD
The installation of new storm drain and catch basins will continue at the northwest corner of the North Washington Avenue and Churchill Street intersection, and along Churchill Street, from North Washington Avenue to Arizona Avenue.

STREET PARKING AND ACCESS
To avoid any conflicts with construction equipment, and expedite completion of the project, the contractor asks that you avoid on-street parking while road construction is underway. Personnel will work with businesses and residents to maintain driveway access throughout the work zone.
