With the holidays quickly approaching, SpringHill Suites by Marriott in downtown Prescott is busy getting ready to welcome a steady stream of holiday travelers to “Arizona’s Christmas City.” And we also open our doors to local residents with a variety of activities for families to enjoy. It has been our tradition to welcome locals into our lobby for a cup of coffee, a meeting with friends or colleagues in our business center or a place to meet and catch the shuttle to Phoenix. During the holiday season, our lobby becomes a gathering place with a hub of activities. Grab your calendar and mark down these dates so we can welcome you to our place this holiday season!
5:30-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8: Art of the Local, Acker Night with the American Lutheran Church Handbell Choir. This is a must-see performance with a talented small ensemble playing traditional holiday music on Old World-style handbells. Art of the Local is a SpringHill Suites quarterly event that features local music, art and culinary specialties by locals and for locals. All Art of the Local events are free to the public and our guests.
3-5 p.m. Saturdays & Sundays, Thanksgiving weekend through Christmas weekend: Santa and Mrs. Claus will be singing and storytelling. Guests can also enjoy a delicious hot chocolate bar with an assortment of toppings.
Within walking distance of SpringHill Suites is the annual Christmas Parade and Courthouse Lighting (Dec. 2), Santa Claus is Coming to Downtown (Dec. 16 at the Holiday Courtyard) and the New Year’s Eve Bootdrop (Dec. 31). You don’t have to live out of town to treat your family and yourself to an overnight stay downtown and walk to Prescott’s holiday festivities.
From all of us at SpringHill Suites, happy holidays and best wishes in 2018!
